Olea Europa (Olive) Fruit Oil

Botanical and botanically derived ingredients from olive oil used in the formulation of cosmetics are generally mild and safe. Safety substantiation of cosmetic ingredients may include tests for ocular and skin irritation as well as allergenicity, phototoxicity, photoallergenicity and mutagenicity, depending on the application or intended use.

Traditional use: An oil that is mentioned in the Bible and was known to the ancient Greeks and Phoenicians, who introduced it into Spain. This oil is legendary for its safe, gentle care and treatment of the skin. It was also used in oinments for wounds, burns, dermatosis and stretch marks, it also has breast firming and anti-inflammatory properties.  

Externally, olive oil is emollient and soothing to inflamed surfaces, and is employed to soften the skin and crusts in eczema and psoriasis, and as a lubricant for massage. It is used to soften ear wax.
